Autograph letters signed from Prosper Mérimée to unidentified recipients, 19th century.

(1), dated "lundi, 8 janvier [18]49" and addressed to "Monsieur," mentions Viollet Leduc. In (2), dated "lundi soir" and addressed simply "Madame," Mérimée regrets that he is not free on Friday night, and he returns tickets. He will have the honor of treating in depth the "question Hambourgeoise." Both letters signed "Pr. Mérimée."
